Sangiovese 2023

Dal Zotto Sangiovese 2024, grown in Victoria’s King Valley, is matured for eight months in French oak (15% new, 85% seasoned) to enhance texture and depth. Bright crimson in colour, it opens with lifted aromatics of cherry, red plum, strawberry, fig, and dried roses, complemented by savoury hints of oregano and thyme. The palate is light to medium-bodied yet structured, with mouth-watering acidity, supple tannins, and layers of plum, cherry, tomato, leather, baking spice, and earthy truffle.

Approachable now yet cellar-worthy until 2031, it shines with hearty bean soup, beef ragu, pecorino, or rich gnocchi in sage butter.
